About Us

I give my pledge as a Canadian, to save and faithfully defend from waste, the natural resources of my country, its soils and minerals, its air, water, forests and wildlife.

- Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Oath

The Parry Sound Anglers and Hunters were incorporated in 1976. The understanding is that a form of the Club goes back many more years, possibly into the late 1800’s.

Our facilities are located at 41 Brooks Road off Oastler Park Drive, in Seguin Township, just 8 kilometers south of Parry Sound.

We are a group of likeminded men, women, and youth, currently numbering some 467 individuals, who enjoy the shooting sports including archery. Our principal mandate is conservation and the pledge we make:

‘To save and faithfully defend from waste, the natural resources of our country – its air, soils, minerals, forests and wildlife.’

In keeping with our mandate we are actively involved in Conservation Projects in our Community. We have partnered with the local Museum with Bat Box building and with the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve in a similar project. We have also been involved in reforestation projects in our community. This will continue, along with other projects in the coming years, through our Conservation Committee. We actively fund raise for Conservation Projects through lottery ticket sales and an annual Sportsman’s Gun Show.

We have a variety of sports available to our members including Rifle Ranges (25, 50, and 100 yards), Trap Shooting, Pistol Range and separate club house, Action Shooting as well as Archery. We are actively developing youth programs and encouraging a family oriented environment. We recently also introduced Precision Rifle Shooting Courses and a demonstration of the sport of Falconry.

With and large and experienced Management Team we are comfortable in continuing to expand our membership for the time being and welcome new applicants for Membership. Please see our Membership area for details and an application form.
