25 YARD RANGE RULES (OUTSIDE) - RANGE "A-2"
HAND GUNS & RIM FIRE RIFLES ONLY
HOURS OF OPERATION: 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. (9 a.m. on Sunday)
RANGE PROCEDURES
- Drop sign at gate to read "Range in Use"
- Raise RED flag at Gate
- Drop “Range in Use” sign at gate to Range "A"
- Lock door to shooting stations of Range "A-1" in Pistol Building
- Everyone MUST sign Log Book in Club House
- Guests must also fill out "Guest Form" located by Log Book
- Hand flags must be used
RANGE "A-2" RULES
- EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MUST BE USED
- No person shall approach the firing line when it is in ACTION
- When range is in use – ASK before entering
- Coming to and from the firing line, firearms are to be SAFE FOR TRANSPORT. Firearms should NOT be HANDLED or PREPARED for firing EXCEPT AT THE FIRING LINE or in the SAFE AREA inside pistol building
- All firearms placed on the firing line bench shall have actions open and open end of clip facing R.O. until the ‘READY” command
- Shoot only CLUB APPROVED targets on target holders erected and approved by club/range
- If more than one (1) shooter, one must act as Range Officer
- If three (3) shooters on line, Range Officer CANNOT SHOOT
- When checking targets, firearms must NEVER be left unattended
- FLAGS MUST BE USED!! RED = Range Live; GREEN = Safe
- All shooters must use a SHOOTING BENCH at all times. (Except for action shooting.)
- Targets must be as close to berm as possible (less than 1 foot)
- Follow Action Shooting rules
- Handgun shooters are either bench shooters or action shooters and must follow appropriate rules.
- NO STEEL (holders) on Range.
