Special Use Range

HOURS OF OPERATION: 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. (9 a.m. Sunday)

Range Procedures

  1. Drop sign at gate to read “Range in Use”.
  2. Raise RED flag at Gate.
  3. Raise RED flag at Range “D”
  4. All shooters must sign in at Range
  5. Range Officer must sign Log Book at “D” Range before each shoot.(Special Use)**
  6. Supply a copy of “Course of Fire” before shooting. (special use)
  7. One of Club’s Range Officers may attend each shoot.
  8. CLUB “ID“ MUST BE WORN

Range Procedures

  • NO HAND THROWERS ON RANGE!!!**
  • We are a Section 29 (2), (4) Registered Range (2008).
  • No prohibited “full automatic” Firearms.
  • Ensure that no projectiles discharged leave the range.
  • Shoot ONLY firearms and course of fire that range is approved for.
  • No incendiary, tracer or armour piercing bullet designs.
  • EYE and HEARING PROTECTION IS MANDATORY.
  • ********** No prone shooting “closer than” 15 Yards **********************
  • Targets MUST be placed near to the berm, below centre and 1 foot off range floor. MUST shoot paper targets ONLY.
  • No Vehicles on Range
  • May use all Open “D” Range ( including 100 yd. target holders)
  • All garbage (including casings) is to be collected, bagged and removed from the Range property. Transfer station is next door.**
  • At completion of event, lower all flags, lock building and gates.
  • There MUST be a Range Officer present.
  • Shooting alone is NOT recommended
  • Range Officer MUST report all deficiencies (in log book) and accidents in Red Binder**
  • New accident forms and phone numbers located in Club House**.
  • OBEY ALL CLUB RULES!
  • Field entrance gate must be locked.
  • HANDGUN SHOOTERS ARE EITHER BENCH SHOOTERS OR ACTION SHOOTERS & MUST FOLLOW APPROPRIATE RULES …….. 50 YD. MAX
  • NO STEEL ON RANGE .. TARGET OR PROP HOLDERS
  • NO EXPLODING TARGETS
  • Action and 3 gun shooters must follow Action Shooting Rules.
