Again this year from May 24 weekend to Labour Day, PSAH Club had archery lessons for children every Monday and adults every second Tuesday

Kim Hodichak was in charge and Pat Coles, Tim and Ben Kearns, Vera Bush, Adam Hadley and Gary Black assisted.

Ivan Almas and I looked after the PSAH tent at the fair. Here is a photo from the first person to build a birdhouse. She told me she was 76 years young.

Sorry I don’t know her name.

We were so busy I didn’t get many photos.

It was a very rewarding day. Lots of adults and children came by to build 78 bird houses and 50 bat houses.

I put out an urgent request to Urias Weber who constructs our kits. (Urias and his wife Betty are members of the Old Order Mennonite Faith and they don’t want their photos taken in order to be consistent with their religious beliefs about humility).

In 4 days Urias with his wife’s assistance, had 100 bird house kits ready. Then, in one 12 hour day they made 50 bat house kits.

Vera and I drove down with my friends trailer to get them in time for the Foley Fair.

Thought you might like to see Urias and Betty’s buggy and shop.

The covered buggy is for married couples and the open buggy is for unmarried couples.

Vera Bush, Ivan Almas and Gary Black set up a display of the bat house and bird house kits that we encourage people to build as part of our conservation efforts.

On this day we gave 100 bird house kits away and 50 bat house kits. We were now in an urgent need for more for the Foley Fair in 2 weeks.

Kits donated by Home Depot.

34 kits made in 2 hours.

Adult helpers included parents; friends of the children; 2 students from Rosseau Private School; Vera Bush and Gary Black: Chair of Conservation: PSAH
