PSAH Membership Types
Family Memberships
Family memberships are an affordable way to have everyone participate in the Club’s shooting, social, and conservation activities. Families must have at least 1 Individual (Primary) member with a valid PAL or RPAL and valid Family OFAH membership that does not expire prior to the end of the membership year. In addition to the Primary member, families may have up to 2 Associate Members 19yrs or older and up to 4 Associate Members under the age of 19.
Within Family Memberships, the primary member must hold and an RPAL and have successfully completed the Club Level Safety Course and Probationary Shoots with restricted firearms in order to access the pistol range. Family members without those qualifications may access the pistol range only as a guest and under the direct supervision of the family member with the above qualifications. A 1 to 1 Guest:Supervisor ratio is required. i.e., While a guest is shooting, the supervising family member may not shoot and may only supervise 1 guest at a time.
Individual (Primary) Membership
An Individual (Primary) member must be at least 19 years old, have a valid PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) or RPAL (Restricted Possession and Acquisition License), and a valid OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters) membership that does not expire prior to the end of the membership year. Individual members have full access to the clubhouse, rifle, trap and archery ranges, conservation initiatives, may participate in club activities and have voting rights.
Only individual members who have an RPAL and have successfully completed the Club Level Safety Course and Probationary Shoots with restricted firearms may use the pistol range.
Associate Membership
Associate members have no age restrictions but must possess a valid OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters) membership that does not expire prior to the end of the membership year. Associate members may participate in conservation activities and may use the archery range (minors must be accompanied by an adult). In order to use the rifle or pistol ranges, an Associate member must be accompanied by an Individual member with a valid OFAH membership and valid PAL or RPAL. Associate members do not have voting rights.
OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters) MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT
Insurance for activities on Club premises or sponsored by the Club is provided via your OFAH membership. This insurance helps to protect you in the unfortunate event of a mishap while participating in a legal shooting sport. It is for this reason that OFAH membership is a requirement of the Club membership and that the OFAH membership may not expire during the club year. Your OFAH Membership will be confirmed during the Application or Renewal Process.
If you obtain your OFAH membership personally or through another club and it expires prior to the end of the membership year, part of your annual fees will be used to extend your membership until the end of that year. If your OFAH Membership expires on or after the end of the membership year, a portion of your annual fees will be directed to Club Conservation initiatives.
